VERMILION PARISH, La. — The tight-knit community of Bomb Party, along with friends and loved ones across Louisiana, are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Michelle Ghent Seaton, who was tragically killed in a fatal car crash in Vermilion Parish on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the Woodlawn Bridge in the northern part of Vermilion Parish. According to Louisiana State Police, Seaton’s vehicle collided with a sugar cane tractor, resulting in a devastating crash that forced her car into a roadside ditch. Authorities are still investigating the precise cause of the collision, including whether the vehicle struck the tractor directly or the subsoiler attachment it was pulling.
Michelle Seaton, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor was unharmed, officials said.
Seaton leaves behind a grieving family, including her husband of nearly a decade, Trey Seaton, and their three young daughters—Brynn (13), Dorothy (9), and Estelle (8).
